Developing PICOT Questions

When searching for the best evidence, you want to make sure that you are looking at credible websites and databases such as : PubMed, Google Scholar, institution’s library, EBSCOhost, JAMA, ScienceDirect. Best evidence is typically considered information from articles found in peer reviewed journals. These articles should always be less than 10 years old, though 5-7 years old is best. The evidence that we use in trying to provide patient-centered evidence-based care needs to be free of bias, based on clinical experience, and be researched and analyzed in a credible way.

A great way to have students practice this is through having them create research questions based on current patients and create their own research-based solutions.
