The goal of clinical education is to prepare students to enter the athletic training profession as a well-rounded, practicing clinician. Students achieve this goal by moving through several phases during their clinical education. Students are supervised during their clinical education by you – the preceptor – to provide increasing levels of responsibility with real patients. By participating in this practice, students develop professional behaviors and prepare for their future independent, clinical pracitce.ย
